Best Theme Park Destinations

Theme parks a popular destination for many different occasions.  There are plenty of options to choose from in the United States for adrenaline junkies who are looking for a thrill.  Some of the most obvious theme parks will be mentioned in this article, but you might see a travel destination that you haven’t heard of before.

Either way, you really can’t go wrong when you choose a theme park to be your next vacation.  They are full of entertainment and are fun for the whole family.

This is the obvious choice for all west coast residents.  Disneyland has brought in over 650 million guests since it first opened it’s gates in 1955.  Disneyland is perfect for all ages, as little ones can meet their favorite Disney character, talk with crush from Finding Nemo, find out what a Bug’s Life is all about, and catch a show at the theater which is known for it’s popular musicals: Lion King and Frozen.

Popular roller coaster rides at Disneyland are: Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and The Matterhorn. Other favorite attractions are Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Light Year, and the Jungle Cruise.

Booking a hotel in downtown Disney is possibly the best way to go when vacationing to Disneyland.  Many people stay outside the park and either walk, taxi, or use some sort of public transportation to come and go.  That’s not a bad way to go, and you’ll definitely save money, but you cannot beat the treatment and experience when staying at one of the hotels in Downtown Disneyland.

The only thing that might be better than Disneyland is Disneyworld, located in Orlando, Florida.  Disneyworld kicked it up a notch from Disneyland in offering customers endless possibilities for entertainment.

The different theme parks that you can spend your time at are: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Hollywood Studios & Disney Animal Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom is pretty much Disneyland on steroids, as you’ll find plenty of rides and attractions that can fulfill days worth of entertainment.  Epcot is known more for its acknowledgement of technological advances and the celebration of human achievement.  Hollywood Studios also offers rides, but it’s really known for it’s behind the scenes look at the production of Disney shows and movies.  The Animal Kingdom is a popular park as you can see the most exotic animals in this world class zoo and aquarium.

Universal Studios

Universal Studios is a fun place for family to visit and see the work that goes on behind the cameras.  You’ll get a tour of the park where thousands of movies have been filmed at such as: Jaws, Back to the Future, King Kong, Jurassic Park and Fast & the Furious.  The tour will also take you past some of the popular attractions.

There are a few rides at Universal Studios that are fun for the whole family.  You can get up close and personal with a great white shark on Jaws, and even come close to some prehistoric dinosaurs from Jurassic Park.  One ride that you have to go on before your vacation is over is E.T.

Universal Studios is not known for it’s rides and attractions like the Disney corporation, but it’s definitely worth visiting at least one time.  Thanks to our family was able to visit this place while moving to Los Angeles.

This park is calling on all chocolate lovers and adrenaline junkies.  This park is located in Hershey, Pennsylvania and the rides are centered around their chocolate and candy factories.  There are a total of 13 total roller coasters at this theme park that will make your face turn green if you spend too much time at the candy and chocolate stores prior to getting on.

The park has recently added a few additional rides in 2017.  They added three different drop towers that reach high into the sky for those who are daring enough to fall from the very top.

Hersheypark is fun not just for teenagers and adults who love stomach turning roller coasters.  They also have over 24 different kid rides that are perfect for toddlers.  There are plenty of nursing stations and quite zones for when the little ones need a break from all of the excitement.
